Students with Disabilities
At St Catherine of Siena, every student is valued, including those with specific learning needs. We provide tailored support through Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs), collaborative Program Support Group (PSG) meetings (involving teachers, parents, and students), dedicated Learning Support Officers and additional resources from the Catholic Education Office when required. Our goal is simple: to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive!

Intervention Framework
The Intervention Framework (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) is used to identify how to meet the needs of individual students who require additional support to achieve learning goals.
Learning Support Officers
Learning Support Officers assist teachers in providing targeted teaching programs and supporting small groups of students within the learning environment. The role of Learning Support Officers varies according to the needs of individual students to align with the school’s commitment to inclusive education and differentiated learning practices.
Network of Supports
St Catherine of Siena is proud to be part of the Western Region of the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS). With the support of a dedicated team of visiting educational leaders, psychologists, speech therapists, and specialists, we work collaboratively to identify and address the unique learning needs of each student. Through tailored programs and individualised support, we ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
English as an Additional Language
St Catherine of Siena provides support for students and families with English as an Additional Language (EAL), in collaboration with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. Translators are available upon request for Parent/Teacher Conversations.
